Relocation and Refurbishment Strategy of 100,000 Square Feet Across 2 Buildings in Leeds

The project brief was to develop and manage a programme of team relocations and refurbishment works that would allow an upgrade of the facilities and working environment across 100,000 square feet whilst the buildings were fully occupied.

Fit Out Expert devised a strategy to include phasing of works and team moves both inside and outside of normal working hours, identifying possible risks and developing Plan B strategies.

The project also included the search and acquisition of temporary swing space for teams who were able to move out of their building whilst refurbishment works were ongoing.

The whole process included management of contractors, furniture installers, internal communications, IT functions and the removal company.

The project was managed by Jenny Lancaster and Lara Conaway and implemented over a period of 10 months. The project was completed successfully on time with no loss of working time to staff or the management team.
